#1 Superman

Nolan's "The Dark Knight Trilogy," directed with innovative visions to grapple apocalypses at large under global spectacles, tells of a graying Bruce Wayne from Batman Begins who trains a young boy named Daniel Sanz (formerly Robin) to take his place as the masked vigilante Batman]

Marvel Studios brings us some of the household names in superheroes including the most recent 2008 Iron Man which kicked off Marvel Phase One and Thor released that same year

#4 Batman

The dark knight rises. In what is unquestionably the most popular recent superhero movie, Batman battles against bad guys and himself to save Gotham City from a terrorist plot.

The film brings back Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne and Michael Caine as Alfred, but it’s Anne Hathaway who shines the brightest as Selina Kyle, the love interest turned comic-book vixen Catwoman. The movie has few laughs, but its breathtaking visual style compensates, many of its interior set pieces – such as Wayne’s crumbling family mansion – have a suitably haunting quality that matches our hero’s fractured mind state.

#2 Spiderman

Spiderman is one of the most prevalent superheroes of all time. Sam Raimi, who played Spiderman in three movies starring Tobey Maguire, opened him up to the rest of the world. The first movie came out in 2002 and while it was not a commercial success, it developed an immensely loyal following. It was still Marvel's highest grossing film when they came out with the first Avengers movie in 2012.

#5 The Hulk

Among the best adrenaline-pumping punches and harrowing battles are many heartwarming moments. For instance, one of my favorite scenes comes when Bruce Banner tries to convince General Ross not to attack him. "Look at me!" he cries, "I'm not a threat to anyone. I'll do anything you want. You want me on that ball field? I'll show up! is this what you want me to be?" One could say something Hulk said back in The Avengers sums up our feelings about heroes: "Why should we have all the fun?"

#3 Iron Man

Iron Man is without a doubt one of the best superhero movies we've ever seen. With a captivating story and superhuman effects, it's understandable why Iron Man is so popular. In this movie, we watch as Tony Stark comes face-to-face with foes turned companions, that learn to count on each other to take out a new line of technological threats left by terrorists.

#6 Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange is a 2016 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is the fourteenth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Doctor Strange follows Stephen Strange, a former neurosurgeon who learns mystic arts from The Ancient One and becomes a powerful sorcerer after a career-ending car accident. He must act as an intermediary between Earth and what lies beyond to stop a powerful, ancient being known only as Dormammu from taking over Earth.

#7 Wonder Woman

Since the release of the movie Wonder Woman, many people have been talking about how the character is a feminist icon.

The movie has sparked a lot of discussion about what it means to be a woman today.

Wonder Woman is an Amazonian princess who lives on an island with her people, and she has superhuman powers such as super strength and speed.

She is also one of the most powerful superheroes in the DC universe.

Wonder Woman was created in 1941 by William Moulton Marston, who was influenced by his own feminist beliefs and his research into female sexuality.

He wanted to create a character that would fight for justice and equality, but he also wanted to show how women were not just objects or victims of men's desires.

#8 Black Panther

Black Panther is a 2018 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the eighteenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film was directed by Ryan Coogler from a screenplay co-written with Joe Robert Cole, and stars Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa / Black Panther alongside Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett and Forest Whitaker. In Black Panther, T'Challa returns home as king of Wakanda but finds his sovereignty challenged by a long-time adversary in a conflict that has global consequences.

Antman is a Marvel superhero, who is also known as Ant-Man. The character was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1962. He has the power to shrink down to the size of an ant.

The first Antman movie was released in 2015 and it starred Paul Rudd (Scott Lang) as Antman, Evangeline Lilly (Hope Van Dyne) as Wasp, Michael Douglas (Hank Pym), Corey Stoll (Darren Cross), Bobby Cannavale (Paxton) and Michael Peña (Luis).
